PokerFace Blues Band was formed in 2009 as a composite of 7 players from notable bands from Philadelphia and suburban region. The band's repertoire and sound can be described as 'interpreted classic blues with a touch of funk'.
The band and its members have extensive musical backgrounds and have played with or opened for national and regional bands such as J Geils Band, Canned Heat, Patti La Belle, Boyz II Men, Buddy Miles, James Cotton, Chilly Willy blues band, Skunk Baxter (Doobie Bro's/Steely Dan), and notable regional/local bands such as Suzanne Gorman and Dragonfly, Russ Lambert, and Lonnie Shields.
They have played a variety of venues including CBS pre-game show, World Cafe live, Electric Factory, Tin Angel, The Blue Parrott and the Point.
